Hiking is one of the most popular outdoor activities, and fall makes it even more magical. As the leaves turn into the most stunning colours, the air turns crisp, and the trails become a little quieter, it\u2019s the perfect time to explore nature<\/strong>. With so many breathtaking hiking spots across Europe, it\u2019s tough to pick just a few. However, here are some of my absolute favourite \u2013 and perhaps more unexpected<\/strong> \u2013 hiking destinations for the fall season<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Hiking in Greece<\/strong> – White Mountains<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n
<\/strong>Greece is more than just sandy beaches and crystal-clear waters\u2014it\u2019s also home to lush landscapes and endless greenery. Popular hiking spots include the Imbros Gorge<\/strong>, where you can even enjoy a refreshing swim in the Libyan Sea, and the famous Samaria Gorge<\/strong> in Crete\u2019s<\/strong> White Mountains<\/strong>. As Europe\u2019s largest gorge<\/strong>, the Samaria Gorge stretches an impressive 16 kilometers. Along the way, you\u2019ll discover the Ksyloskalo Omalos Plateau<\/strong>, breathtaking rocky trails, ancient forests, and picturesque riverbeds. Don\u2019t miss charming Greek villages like Agia Roumeli<\/strong>, where you can unwind and take a dip in pristine, turquoise waters.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
