So here is how our morning-trip to Hohe Wand Wiese went:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-left wp-embed-aspect-16-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio\"><em>We met at the office at 7:00, grabbed our gear, and hopped on the <strong>U4 to H\u00fctteldorf.<\/strong> From there, we took the <strong>450 bus<\/strong> to Mauerbach and got off at Hohe Wand Wiese. The friendly rental shop staff got us set up with gear and gave a quick intro.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-left wp-embed-aspect-16-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio\"><em>Sharleyne learned the basics, from ski bindings to the &#8220;Pizza&#8221; stop, before tackling her first slope with the magic carpet lift. Her turns still needed work, but her confidence grew with every run\u2014she\u2019s now pumped for the Check Yeti ski trip in March!<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-left wp-embed-aspect-16-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio\"><em>Our colleague Clemens tried out the slalom and kicker, impressed by how real the slope felt. Nestled in the picturesque Lackenhof region of Lower Austria, the resort offers a variety of runs on both the Gro\u00dfe \u00d6tscher (1,893 m) and Kleine \u00d6tscher (1,560 m). Chairlifts and tow lifts take you up to scenic slopes below the tree line. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-embed-aspect-16-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio\">For families, the<strong> Sunny Kids Park<\/strong> is a hit, complete with a magic carpet and childcare for the little ones. Older kids can enjoy the thrilling <strong>Cross Trail <\/strong>and the <strong>\u00d6tscher Snowpark<\/strong>, while advanced skiers can test their skills on <strong>two FIS race courses <\/strong>and the challenging Gro\u00dfe \u00d6tscherpiste.
