This canoeing tour takes you through the Haut Rhône, the largest river and forest nature reserve in France, together with a certified instructor. Ideal for nature lovers and families, this easily accessible canoe trip is an opportunity to clear your mind as you paddle through wild landscapes. The route starts in the enchanting village of Chanaz, known as the little Venice of Savoy for its ancient streets and canals.
Tour programme- Preparation:We will meet in the commune of Lucey. You will be contacted after completed booking to agree on the exact meeting point. We will provide you with the equipment, then we organise a carpool together to reach
the authentic village of Chanaz labelled Petite Cité de Caractère. Once there, the group carries the equipment to the river.
- Tour:Along the route, you will be in the heart of the nature reserve of the Haut-Rhône with its
rich and varied fauna and flora. As this part of the Rhône is only accessible by non-motorised boats, you can listen to the nature and take in its picturesque landscapes in
complete tranquillity. However, there will also be a
few narrower passages that will spice up your descent. You will be accompanied by our
state-qualified instructors for your safety.
- Return:We will disembark in Lucey. Then we return to the vehicles.
