The telemark-turn resembles that of a lunge, while the skier is pushing the downhill ski forward, the uphill ski slides back, knee flexed and heel raised. All skiers need a ski pass for the first day of the lessons. You can buy your ski pass before the first lesson at the ski lift ticket office.
