Guided Reef & Bay Dives in Caniçal for Certified Divers

Scuba Diving in Madeira is a truly magical experience. Indeed, the underwater biodiversity is so vast, it reaches right up to our own front door. Come visit us at Azul Diving Center and jump right into the water at our house reef for an exceptional diving experience. Explore the colourful submarine landscape with the many different species that inhabit it, without having to venture far out to sea. Our house reef dives are ideal for anyone who wants to squeeze in some diving fun in between other holiday activities.

Dive Area
Our house reef is located directly in front of the Quinta do Lorde Resort where our dive centre is located. It is very easy to enter and the fact that it is characterised by both rocky and sandy bottoms makes it easy for divers to spot all sorts of species including octopi, stingrays, moray eels, barracudas, cuttlefish, and much much more. Some divers have even encountered monk seals, which appear to be visiting the house reef more and more frequently.

Programme
- Meeting & Preparation:
Depending on the time you booked, we either meet at 09:00 am or at 02:00 pm, directly at our dive centre. We can provide you with a full set of rental equipment for a small fee, should you need it. In this case, we will prepare it for you on our jetty where you enter into the water. All you need to do is show up, check in, gear up, and off you go!
- Diving:
Once in the water, our guide will show you the most interesting part of our house reef and point out all the different species to you.
- Return:
At the end of the dive, you exit the water at the same spot you entered – at the jetty in front of our dive centre. As such, you only need to take a couple of steps until you're back at our base, where you can use our showers and changing rooms.

*Please book the start day for your first dive. The additional dives can be arranged individually with your dive centre after completed booking or can simply be done on the following days.
