Canoeing "Classic" - Sete Cidades

Explore the volcanic complex of Sete Cidades! With a certified guide from Picos de Aventura, you will have the opportunity to go canoeing on the area which encloses the biggest freshwater mass on the island of São Miguel. Prepare yourself to be amazed by the local landscapes - often classified by many as one of the seven natural wonders of Portugal. Tour programme
- Preparation:
We meet at the Sete Cidades bridge. From there, we go to the point where the tour begins. Once there, we equip you with the complete canoeing gear and give you a safety briefing.
- Tour:
During the tour, you will paddle on two twin lakes, enjoying the diverse lush vegetation, clear emerald water and a dormant volcano.
- Arrival:
Our canoeing tour end at the same place where we met.

- Area: Lagoa das Sete Cidades
- Description: a twin lake which is located in the crater of a dormant volcano. The first lake, Lagoa Verde, is known for its green water and the second lake, Lagoa Azul, has dreamy blue water. The two lakes are surrounded by a variety of plants and rich wildlife that can be observed during the tour. Our canoeing tour ends at the same place where we met.
