Those who are looking for adventure will be delighted with our river trekking in Chaos de l'Imbut in the Verdon! The canyon is only for sporty people. In a unique setting, you will be able to discover must-see places such as the passages of Imbut or Styx. During this outing, you will be able to float in the river, jump from natural diving platforms or swim through rapids. A state-certified instructor will ensure your safety and give you plenty of technical tips to make the trip even more rewarding and fun.
Tour programme- Preparation:We meet at
our base in Castellane 15 minutes before the booked time. A changing room is available and you can leave there your personal belongings. Your guide will brief you on safety and the use of your equipment, and before taking our shuttle to reach the canyon. An approach walk of 30 minutes, with a 300 m difference in altitude, will lead to the starting point of the descent.
- Tour:The fun can begin! River trekking is the young sibling of canyoning and does not involve abseiling. You can jump from rocks and swim along the river. Jumps of all kinds and swimming in the rapids are on the agenda for the day. This sporty trip will take you through a wild section of the Verdon gorges. We will have a lunch break at noon, so that you can enjoy this exceptional setting, while eating with your feet in the emerald water. Afterwards, we'll get back on track and come across many more obstacles.
- Return:After 4 hours, you will reach the end of the tour. A 1-hour walk will be necessary to reach the shuttle. We will then take you back to the base where you will collect your belongings and your vehicle.
