Diving in Crete has something surreal. Here, the Mediterranean Sea is particularly clear and blue, and the unique history and geography of the island merge under the water, creating unique landscapes. With our guided boat dive from Anissaras, you can explore some volcanic reefs, or one of the sunken archaeological sites close to the shore, and swim above a field of broken amphoras, imagining what kind of treasures they used to conceal. Each dive spot is close, and we can reach them within 5 to 8 min by boat, which gives us the opportunity to go back to our base between each dive, and take a well-deserved break.
Dive AreaAnissaras is surrounded by many beautiful reefs like St George's reef, caves, and archaeological sites. We choose the spots depending
on your level,
your expectations, and on
the weather conditions. The water is pure and offers really
nice visibility, enabling you to marvel at the rich fauna of the Cretan Sea. If you are lucky, you might even see some sea turtles, lion fish, schools of barracudas, and big groupers.
ProgrammeWe meet at
9:00 am at our base. We can
pick you up at your hotel or at a bus stop from 8:30 am, if you are in Anissaras or Hersonissos. If you do not have the equipment, you can rent it at our base. We usually make groups of
6 people per guide. We will reach the dive area by boat, we have two fast Zodiacs at our disposal. After the first dive, we will go back to the dive centre
around 11:30 am, where you can rest, eat a little snack, while we are refilling the tanks. If you booked a second dive, we will return to the boat, and navigate to another spot. We are usually
back at 2:30 pm.
