Nature lovers will love this easy canoe tour from Regen to Oberauerkiel. For 10 km you will be able to follow the Schwarzer Regen river with your family or friends and enjoy the peaceful nature. There are hardly any hiking trails in this area, so the best way to explore it is by canoe. Many animals and plants live in this nature reserve, which you can admire while canoeing. If you are lucky, you will be able to see one of the kingfisher birds which live in this region. Close your eyes and listen to the beautiful sounds of nature as your canoe floats gently on the river.

- Preparation:
Our meeting point for this canoe tour is at our base in Regen, 30 minutes before the tour starts. You can park you car comfortably next to our base. As soon as you arrive, we start with an intensive briefing on safety, the route, environmental protection and paddling technique. We also hand out the life jackets and paddles. To help you find the route without a guide, we also give you a route description in the canoe. If you have booked a guide, he will of course accompany you during the tour and show you the route.
- Tour:
Your tour takes you from Regen via the Schwarze Regen river to Oberauerkiel, past the magical forests of Bavarian Canada. The river is a paradise for nature lovers, as it represents one of the last and most beautiful wild river landscapes in all of Bavaria. This untouched nature also gives the region its name: Bavarian Canada. By the way, the river gets its name from the moor-like soil. This is the reason for the dark, almost black colour of the soil, which also makes the water appear dark. In reality, however, the water is very clear.
- Return:
Your canoe tour ends after 2 hours of easy paddling in Oberauerkiel. Here we will pick you and the canoes up with cars and our boat trolley and bring you comfortably back to the starting point in Regen.
