Ski Touring Group "Beginner Course Ski Touring"

The basic ski touring course with skiing technique training is the ideal introduction to ski touring. Our state-certified ski and mountain guide will accompany you on an unforgettable adventure far away from the daily stress of everyday life.

On the first day, we meet at 9:00 am at our ski school, where we'll welcome you and also check your equipment for the upcoming experience. Then we drive together to the Hotel Roswitha at Hochschwendberg, where we check in. Behind the hotel, there is the new Möslbahn which takes us to the Mayrhofen ski area. Once there, the specialist training begins on the piste and we will be taught you the avalanche transceiver basic knowledge. After we have familiarized ourselves with the equipment, we improve our driving technique for the terrain with helpful tips from the mountain guide. We also familiarize ourselves with the emergency equipment for avalanches. On the second to the fourth day we make day tours and practice the ascent technique and the tracking adapted to your ability. Here we will also put into practice what we have learned in the terrain on a ski tour. As a highlight, we try to climb a simple ski tour summit together. The course ends on Sunday at about 16:00 o'clock.

Included in the price is the 4-day organisation and guided tour by our state-certified mountain and ski guide, 3 nights half-board in a double room Classic at Almhof Roswitha, 1 day ski pass, the loan of the avalanche transceiver, probe & shovel, training documents, a lecture on weather and avalanches and the ski school touring bus. Not included in the price are drinks, a European travel insurance and the local tax of 2,20€ per person/night (to be paid at the hotel).

Important: This training should only be done by those who can ski black slopes with a safe parallel turn.
