Alone, with family or friends, this 17-km trip on the Vézère river invites you to appreciate the flourishing nature, the small villages full of history of the Black Périgord, as well as its waterside castles such as the Château de Belcayre and locks dating from the Middle Age. The return shuttle is at your disposal at the end of the route, so you can take advantage of breaks on one of the beaches or islands on your route to have a picnic, swim or simply go for a walk.
Tour programme- Preparation:We meet at
our base in Saint-Léon-sur-Vézère 15 minutes before the booked time. There you will be welcomed by our team who will brief you on the descent, safety instructions and equipment. Then our shuttle bus will take you to Montignac for your departure.
- Tour:At your own pace, in your kayak or in a group in your canoe, discover its 17-km course, with its historic villages and castles such as the castle of Losse or the castle of Belcayre. You can admire the authentic village of Saint-Léon-sur-Vézère from the river.
- Return:Once arrived at La Roque-Saint-Christophe, known for its
troglodyte site, you can stop at our beacon to join your shuttle bus which is waiting for you every hour until 6 pm to bring you back to our base.
