Beginners' Surfing Lessons (from 12 y.) on Praia da Arrifana

Learn how to catch a wave and make your first attempts at surfing, right here on Portugal's Atlantic coast! Our professional team will teach you all the basics skills so that you can improve quickly and stand upright on the board in no time. These surfing lessons are ideal for complete beginners and for those who still need a little extra help in order to get to the next level.

Meeting & Preparation
We meet at our Beach Hut on Praia da Arrifana 10 minutes before the appointed time. There is a bus stop approximately 500 m from the beach. There is also a free parking area nearby for those who come by car. To start, you'll get to know your group and your surf instructor. If you have any valuables with you, we'll keep them safe for the duration of the course. Before the lesson starts, we will give you all the necessary equipment consisting of a wetsuit or rash guard and, most importantly, the surfboard. The course consists of 3 hours in the water with a 15-minute break. Outside the water, you will learn as much as in the water and can take breaks in between to refuel your energy.

Start time
The start time depends on the tides to ensure the best conditions, so please plan some extra time on the day of your surf lessons. The exact start times are available 2 days in advance. We will inform you in time after you have completed the booking.
