Dive Area
Diving around Santa Maria Island is a real pleasure, thanks to good visibility and a high abundance of marine life. At over 55 diving spots like Baixa da Maia, Gruta Azul, Pedrinha or Ambrósio, volcanic formations, caves, reefs, canyons and walls offer the perfect habitat for many subaquatic animals and plants. You may even encounter a very special sea creature, which we chose as our mascot because it is often seen around the island: the majestic Manta Ray. We select the best dive site according to the conditions of the sea, as well as your preferences and previous experience.

Programme
- Meeting & Preparation:
We meet at our diving centre located on the premises of Hotel Colombo in Vila do Porto (free parking available). Here you meet your guides, receive the booked equipment and can use the changing rooms. As soon as everybody is ready, we head to one of our semi-rigid diving boats.
- Diving:
At the diving spot, our experienced guides will give you an introduction to the particularities of the underwater world you are about to explore. Now you are ready for your adventure in the blue waters of Santa Maria. After the first dive, we take a break on board of our boat and have a light lunch before we set out for the second dive of the day.
- Return:
We return to the diving centre between 1 and 2 pm. Here you can change and clean your equipment.
