Tour programme
- Preparation:
We meet at Marina Quinta do Lorde 10 minutes before the start of the activity, where our guide will welcome you and give you the equipment you need. After a brief introduction to the safety measures and tips for the trip, we will head to Ponta de São Lourenço. In a group of maximum 32 people, we will start with our 2-hour kayak tour, exploring the beautiful caves, like the pigeon cave, and admiring the volcanic slopes of Baía d'Abra.
- Tour:
We will snorkel for a bit in the crystalline waters of Cais do Sardinha. You will be amazed by its impressive underwater world, full of many species of fish, octopus, algae, and sponges. If you are lucky, you might even spot the rare monk seal! Then, we will enjoy a traditional lunch consisting of Bolo do Caco bread, typical from Madeira, with fresh fillings.
- Return:
To end this exciting day in the best way possible, hop on our speedboat to sail towards the farthest end of Ponta de São Lourenço for the highlight of the trip. From here you can enjoy the breathtaking views of the oldest lighthouse on the island, built more than 150 years ago! After around 6 hours exploring the eastern part of Madeira, we will return to Marina Quinta do Lorde by boat.
