Boat Trip to Lerici with Snorkeling

Make your holiday in Liguria unforgettable with this boat trip to Lerici. Together we will discover the incredible Gulf of Poets, that got its name from the love that so many writers and poets had for this place. We will make several stops to swim and snorkel at the most beautiful spots in this gulf, which will be agreed with the skipper depending on the weather conditions.

We will depart from Porto Venere or la Spezia with our gozzo and head first past the church of San Pietro in the direction of Monesteroli, having a unique view of Byron's Grotto. Together we will admire this rocky and impervious coastline, dotted with ancient villages and cultivated terraces. We will then return to Palmaria Island, from where we will have an incredible view of Porto Venere and the Church of San Pietro. We will also pass a short distance by the other two islands of Tino and Tinetto, in the direction of Tellaro. This sea village has been mentioned by many Italian writers, and even Percy Shelley lived here!

After leaving the pastel-coloured houses of Tellaro behind us, we will reach the town of Lerici. Here, if you wish, you can also make a short stop ashore and admire its beautiful castle up close. Once everyone is back on the boat, we will sail back to the archipelago. This time we will have a more detailed view of the stacks of Palmaria and the volcanic cave of Cala Grande before returning to the port of departure.

Departure & Return
You can choose to depart from Porto Venere or La Spezia. In Porto Venere you can find a few paid car parks along the road and a private car park at the Grand Hotel Porto Venere. In La Spezia, there are some paid car parks just in front of the port. After about 4 hours, we will return to the port of departure. Regardless of where you board the boat, please be at the meeting point 5 minutes before departure.
