Kids Ski Lessons (6-12 y.) for Beginners - Weekend - Gerlos

What to Expect

These full-day weekend ski lessons in Gerlos are designed for children aged 6 to 12 who are beginners and want to learn the basics of skiing in a small group. The course starts on Saturday and lasts for 2 days, with a maximum of 8 participants. At the beginning, children become familiar with their ski equipment and learn important fundamentals such as balance, posture and basic control. These skills help them feel comfortable on skis and build a solid foundation for their first turns.

As the course progresses, the children practise their first turns, learn to control their speed and direction, and gradually become more independent on the snow. The instructors use age-appropriate exercises and support each child at their own pace, helping them build confidence and essential skiing skills in a supportive learning environment. By the end of the two days, children will have gained a solid foundation for continuing to develop their skiing abilities.

Meeting Time

We meet at our meeting point at the practice area close to the Arena Center at the mountain station of Isskogelbahn, 10 minutes before the start of the lesson. Please note that going up to the mountain station from the valley can take up to 15 minutes, or even longer during high-season.

Please take the Isskogelbahn. You will get off the gondola and find yourself directly in the beginner area.

Ski Pass

Please be aware that you need a ski pass to take your kid to the meeting point.

Children aged 6 and above require a lift pass. All participants need a lift pass, including first-timers.

• Experience is not required

• Warm outdoor clothing; layers are recommended

• Goggles

• Ski equipment and helmet

Good to Know

• Please make sure your kid has skis, ski boots, helmet, gloves & sunglasses or goggles at the start of the lesson

• The maximum group size is 8 participants per group

• The minimum amount of participants for this course to take place is 4

• If a course has fewer than 4 participants, the course duration will be shortened to 2h (11:00–13:00).

• There will be no lunch break during the lessons.
