1.  Standards and Guidelines

We aim to make our website accessible in accordance with the Accessibility Act as amended to implement the European Accessibility Directive (Directive 2019/882) on the accessibility requirements for products and services. CheckYeti is Europe's leading online platform for booking outdoor and nature activities. Whether it's skiing, snowboarding, canyoning, paragliding, boat tours, or other unforgettable experiences, customers can explore, compare, and book a wide variety of offers from trusted local activity providers across 25+ countries and 1,500+ destinations. CheckYeti supports a seamless, secure, and user-friendly experience for both customers and providers.

For Customers:
  • Customers can browse thousands of activity offers, compare prices, read verified reviews, and view detailed descriptions and media to make informed decisions.
  • Bookings are made directly through the platform, and in order to confirm a booking, customers must complete payment for the activity during the booking process.
  • Booking requests submitted on the platform are generally binding and, upon confirmation, result in a contract directly between the customer and the activity provider.
  • CheckYeti reserves the right to charge customers with a service fee for using the platform. If applicable, this fee is clearly and transparently communicated during the booking and payment process.
For Providers:
  • Activity providers can list and manage their offerings, receive booking requests, and connect with new customers via CheckYeti's platform.
  • The platform helps providers grow their digital reach and optimize occupancy by making it easy for travelers to discover, trust and book their activities.
Support & Contact:
  • Customers who need help can visit our Help Center, where they'll find answers to frequently asked questions.
  • For direct support, users can reach us via our contact form or chatbot, available throughout the website and Help Center.

3.  Accessibility Features

A.o. we have implemented the following specific accessibility practices across our website:

  • Keyboard navigation
  • Voice command compatibility
  • Meaningful link text
  • Proper heading structures
  • Sufficient color contrast
  • Screen reader compatibility

4.  Non-accessible Content

Incompatibility with Accessibility Requirements:
  • Some of the video content published on the website (outdoor/nature activity videos) can include spoken text which is currently not transcribed and available as a caption; web pages where the aforementioned videos are published regularly contain all the relevant information about the respective outdoor/nature activity in written form (included in the activity description and itinerary description).
Disproportionate Burden:
  • Adapting parts of the website whose underlying software can only partially meet the targeted level of compliance, or parts where the underlying software offers no or only insufficient options for adaptation, would constitute a disproportionate burden within the meaning of Article 5 of Directive (EU) 2016/2102.

The listed incompatibilities with the accessibility requirements are being continuously addressed and corrected.

Content Not Within the Scope of Applicable Legal Provisions:
  • Online maps and mapping services, provided these maps are not intended for navigational use.
  • The website and the automated dispatch of booking confirmations may include documents and content (including PDF documents) from third-party providers, which are neither developed nor controlled by us. We cannot make any statement regarding the accessibility of such third-party content, which is therefore also exempt from the requirements of the Accessibility Act.
