Scuba Diving Course - SSI Specialty Dives

Here at Diving Center Kron, we have a selection of 4 exciting speciality courses for certified divers: Nitrox Dive, Deep Dive, Navigation and the Night Dive. Simply choose your adventure, pack your things and come join us for a unique experience on the island of Rab.

Goal of the courses
Depending on the chosen speciality course, you'll focus on different types of diving and will thus broaden your horizon as an experienced diver.

Nitrox Speciality
During the Nitrox Course, you'll learn how to safely dive, and plan dives, with enriched air containing up to 40% of oxygen. This air mixture allows you to stay underwater for a longer time while also increasing your no-decompression limits.

Deep Dive Speciality
During the Deep Dive Course, our SSI instructors will show you how to dive up to 30-40m without putting yourself at risk.

Navigation Speciality
The Navigation Course conveys essential knowledge for navigating underwater. Subjects include the use of a compass, natural navigation techniques, estimating distances, basic navigation patterns and how to leave and return to a designated point.

Night Dive Speciality
And finally, the Nigth Dive, as the name suggests, shows you how to safely dive at night or in case of limited visibility conditions. You'll be shown how to use specialized equipment, how to communicate with a dive buddy and how to enter and exit the water.

Meeting & Preparation
If your accommodation is in Kampor, we'll gladly come pick you up with our van. If you don't need our pick-up service, we'll meet at our base at the agreed-upon time. Please make sure that you confirm your start time with us prior to the start of your activity. At the base, you'll meet your instructor, get changed, get an overview of the course's schedule and content and you'll be ready for your adventure.

Please note that the price of a speciality course only includes the digital learning material and the training dives. If you wish to do more open water dives, you'll have to combine this with one of our boat diving packages.

Course content
Nitrox Course: Theory Lesson (this course does not include any mandatory dives)
Deep Dive Course:
- Day 1: Theory Lesson + 2 Practice Dives
- Day 2: 1 Practice Dive
Navigation Course: Theory Lesson + 2 Practice Dives
Night Dive Course: Theory Lesson + 1 Practice Dive
Note: The order and length of the individual parts of the course can change and will be individually adapted by the instructor.

Included Services
- Certified SSI diving instructor
- Optional: High-quality diving gear (wetsuit, mask, fins, octopus, weights can be rented for 15EUR per dive. To be paid on site.)
- Optional: Scuba tank (200 Bar - can be rented for 5EUR per dive. To be paid on site.)
