Details

Enjoy a unique canoe zambezi tour between the Siansimba Islands and the National Park on the Zambezi River. Since the tour is not too demanding, it is feasible for anyone aged 7 and up. Together with an experienced and trained guide you will paddle through the different passages of the river and come across palm trees, acacias and albizzes typical for the region. Near the riverbank, you can also see animals such as elephants, buffalos, antelopes, hippos, crocodiles and much more. At the end of the tour we will prepare a delicious lunch for you, which you can enjoy in the middle of nature. We are looking forward to an unforgettable day with you while canoeing in zimbabwe!

Tour programme
- Preparation:
We will pick you up from your accommodation and bring you to our base, where you have to check in first. Afterwards we will take you to the starting point of the tour where you will receive a safety briefing. During the briefing, you will get a small breakfast with tea and coffee to start the tour with energy. Before we start the tour, we will practice some paddling techniques in shallow water to be well prepared.
- Tour:
During the tour, you paddle along the river alone or with a second person and follow your guide. In addition to a relaxing adventure, you will also get an insight into the magical animal world of the region. Approximately 50 different bird species can be observed from the canoe. Besides an impressive nature, you can also observe elephants, buffalos, antelopes and much more. At the end of the tour, we will serve you a delicious lunch.

After lunch, we will take you back to your accommodation.

- Description: the river is regarded as free flow as a dam does not control it and as such the water is subject to seasonal variation. Therefore, through the season the route varies as new channels open with the rise in water level.
