Snowshoeing Tour "Explore" in Lofoten - Eggum

Snowshoeing allows you to explore the winter landscapes in a new way. Lofoten archipelago is a perfect spot to try it out and feel closer to nature as your local guide leads you through the snowy trails to show you the highlights of the region.

We believe that a cosy atmosphere makes every adventure better, therefore we also make fire and share some hot drinks during the tour. The hills of Eggum, where our base is located, charm you with the breathtaking views over the frozen sea and snowy formations of Lofoten. Tour programme
- Meeting point:
Our meeting point is in the harbour of Eggum in Lofoten. Join us 15 minutes before the booked time to meet your guide and learn the safety rules for the tour. There's a parking lot right next to our office, so you can comfortably park there. From there, we will walk a few minutes and start our tour from a nearby beach.
- Tour:
Your local guide will leade your through snow-covered trails until you will reach the highest point of Eggum from where a wonderful view of the neighbourhood awaits you. On our way, you will learn about the animal signs as well as you will learn about the winter traditions of the Lofoten and old Viking stories. You will also experience how is to walk 1,5 meters above the ground as the stillness of the snow is very high in this region. The approximate distance we will walk is 10km for a full-day tour and 6km for a half-day tour. Afterwards, we will go back to our base.
