Discover Scuba Diving in Kontokali Bay

If you want to try out diving for the first time, you can do so with this Discover Scuba Diving experience in the pristine bay of Kontokali. Explore the coral reefs, fish, and wonders that lie beneath the sea! In a highly supervised and relaxed manner, you will practise your first immersion in confined waters. Under the guidance of a professional scuba diver, you will learn the basics of diving as well as discovering the fascinating marine life on the coast of Corfu.

Dive area
We will dive on the bay located right in front of our dive centre in the Kontokalis Bay Area. For your first immersion, we will go to a dive area where the conditions and environment are predictable and controlled. Your first dive can be on shore, or if you are feeling more confident, it can be as a boat dive. The water temperature ranges between 17 and 25 degrees Celsius, and the crystal clear water offers visibility up to 30 meters. We always choose the dive site depending on the weather and sea conditions and our instructor's evaluation.

Programme
We meet 30 minutes before the start of the dive at our diving centre in Kontokalis. Before your dive, you will have to fill out a brief medical questionnaire. Then, we will start with the theory where you will learn the basic safety concepts, put on equipment, swim and breathe underwater next to your instructor. After some exercises, we are ready to head to the water.

You will be diving in a closely supervised and controlled environment, whether near the shore or in the open sea. We offer different diving programs to choose from. Both the CMAS federation and the nitrox diving organization have different standards and specialize in many aspects of diving, so you can decide on the certification that best suits you.
- Boat Dive:
If you choose to do your first dive as a boat dive, where we will go on our boat to the open sea and navigate about 10-20 minutes to our destination. Here you can dive up to 5 meters together with a qualified instructor.
- Shore Dive:
You can also go diving from the shore. From the beach right in front of our diving centre, we will enter the water and dive 2-3 meters deep.
