Open Water Diver Course in Kontokali Bay

Join this Open Water Diver Course and get to explore the marine life of the Kontokali Bay. No previous diving experience is required since you will easily learn everything on the days of your course. Not only will you get to explore the underwater world, but also gain many diving skills that are essential to becoming an autonomous diver. Together with a qualified instructor, you will go under extensive training, study theory and exercises and undergo many dives, so just within a few days you can get your certification.

Our dive centre offers both CMAS and IANTD (the International Association of Nitrox Divers) programs that have different training approaches, and you can choose from these two diving certifications. Our instructors will be happy to talk to you in detail about the standards and procedures of each one of them, so you can take the one that best suits your needs.

This course is adjusted to your needs and learning pace. Our instructors will guide you closely throughout the whole program and make sure you acquire all the necessary skills required to dive.

Programme
- On-site theory lecture:
To learn all about the theoretical part of diving, you will do several lessons together with your instructor in a classroom setting at the dive centre. Some things you will learn include equipment assembly, breathing techniques, communication signs, how to enter the water or how to swim underwater.
- Kick-off:
We will meet at the dive centre in Kontokali, at the agreed time, to fill out the necessary paperwork which includes a brief medical questionnaire. For the whole duration of the course, we will provide you with all the rental equipment you need. In total, you will execute 4 dives in open water, the last one being up to 21 metres deep. The exact schedule of your course is set individually, based on your progress with the theoretical part of the course and on how much time you have to spare during the following days. We will discuss this on your first day at the dive centre.
