Surf Lessons (from 6 y.) in Vila Nova de Milfontes

If you are looking for some good waves to ride in the beautiful area of Costa Vicentina, in the southern region of Alentejo, join our surf lessons in Vila Nova de Milfontes. Our team of professional instructors will show you the many different surf spots in this unique area and will make you live an unforgettable experience.

We offer lessons for both adults and children from the age of 6 years old. Our classes are designed for beginners who want to learn how to surf, but also for intermediate and advanced surfers who want to bring their skills to the next level. We will choose the beach depending on your level and on the tides. We want you to make the most of your surf lesson, for this reason the maximum number of participants in our group lessons is 6 people per instructor.

Meeting & Preparation
We will meet at our base 15 minutes before the start. Once you get here, your instructor will welcome you and will give you the equipment you need. If you arrive by car, there is a free car park close to the base. We also offer a free pick-up service from and to Vila Nova de Milfontes. We will then head to the beach with our van, in which you can get changed and leave your personal belongings.

Start time
The start time depends on the tides to ensure the best conditions, so please plan some extra time on the day of your surf lessons. The exact start times are available in advance. We will inform you in time after you have completed the booking.

Course content
- Theory session on the beach: safety information and surf etiquette
- Warm-up with yoga sequences
- Practice on the beach: how to lay and stand up on the board
- Paddling and take off technique
- Practice in the sea

Surfing beginners at our school are typically able to:
- After 2 days: paddle correctly and stand up on the board
- After 5 days: surf autonomously, catch green waves
Please note that everyone's learning progress is different, as some people learn quicker than others.
