I had an amazing experience with Miguel as my surf instructor. He was patient, encouraging, and took the time to help me accelerate my surfing. I was able to stand up on my first try and really focus on improving my technique with each wave. Everyone at the surf school was so nice. Another big plus was they had storage in a room to store all my valuables. I feel very confident surfing Matosinhos on my own next time and just renting a board and suit from them. Thank you to Miguel and the team for being so patient and understanding.

Having already experienced five surf instructors, I can say with confidence: Duarte is definitely one of the better ones. He takes his role as a teacher very seriously and places great emphasis on conveying technique in an understandable and precise manner. He explains not only the how, but also the why – in a way that you can really understand and implement. The organization of surfing was also top-notch: Picking up went really well, and communication via WhatsApp was uncomplicated and reliable. If there were any delays, we were informed in a timely manner – that was very pleasant. We surfed for three days, and it was no problem at all to take a break after the second day – that was also very flexible and relaxed. I give his technical instruction a perfect A (I)! If you're genuinely interested in learning to surf "cleanly," he's the right person for you.

Great surf school! The instructors are attentive to everyone, create a great atmosphere, and are truly motivating. After just the first day, we were already on the board several times and have progressed tremendously over the course of the week. Highly recommended, especially for children! Our two girls had a blast.
