The Sicilian Ionian Sea boasts an abundance of marine life, thriving in its warm, nutrient-rich waters. From vibrant reef fish to elusive cephalopods, the underwater world pulsates with activity and diversity. The presence of volcanic seabeds provides an optimal habitat for a variety of marine flora and fauna, attracting an array of fascinating inhabitants. As you emerge from the sea, refuel with a traditional snack offered onboard. In addition to the mesmerizing underwater experience, our excursion includes a ticket to the historic Norman Castle in Aci Castello, for you to go on your convenience, allowing you to immerse yourself in the region's culture as well.

Dive area
We will choose the dive site to make sure you will witness all the magnificent fishes and biodiversity of the Sicilian sea. After getting familiar with the underwater world, you will dive up to 6 to 12 meters to explore the seabeds.

Programme
We meet 30 minutes before departure at our office, "Arturo Carelli Travel." Convenient paid parking lots are available near the meeting point. Ahead of our dive, our diving instructors will conduct a brief yet crucial safety briefing, ensuring everyone is fully prepared for the underwater adventure. Once we descend into the clear waters, be prepared to marvel at the ancient lava rock formations, remnants of the region's volcanic history dating back a millennium. These captivating basaltic formations create a mesmerizing marine landscape, teeming with diverse marine life. As we continue along the coastline, our instructors will carefully monitor the currents, ensuring a safe and enjoyable experience for all participants. You will have the opportunity to encounter a variety of marine creatures, from colourful sea bream and sea bass to majestic moray eels and graceful eagle rays. Keep a keen eye out for harmless sharks gliding through the water, adding to the excitement and wonder of the dive. During our trial scuba diving expedition, you will be treated to typical Sicilian appetizers and wine, enhancing your underwater journey.
