PADI Open Water Diver Course in Albufeira for Beginners

Embark on an underwater adventure with the PADI Open Water Diver course in Albufeira, ideal for beginners keen on exploring the ocean's wonders. Led by seasoned certified instructors, this course provides hands-on training tailored to small groups of no more than 2–3 students per instructor.

Explore the diverse marine ecosystem along the regional coastline, from vibrant reefs to intriguing rock formations and shipwrecks. We offer an extraordinarily large amount of dive sites along the Algarve coast. Not just around Albufeira, but also in other known dive regions like Lagos, Vilamoura, Sagres, Faro, Tavira, Portimão and Benagil. Our fast RIB boat makes it possible to reach such a diversity of dive spots.

Beforehand, you will receive e-learning materials to grasp diving theory. Then, you will start into a pool dive session, mastering essential skills necessary for independent diving. Following this, the course spans two days of open water diving, with four dives under instructor guidance. The course promises a personalized approach to learning, ensuring individual attention and focused training.

Goal of the course
Completing the course means receiving the PADI Open Water Diver certification. It is the first milestone in your diving journey. During the course, you learn the fundamental scuba diving knowledge and breathing underwater. You can upgrade this qualification to the Advanced Open Water Diver with some extra training and theory.

The PADI Open Water Diver qualifies you to:
- Dive to a maximum depth of 18 meters/60 feet
- Plan and execute dives with a certified buddy
- Rent or buy diving equipment worldwide

Programme
- eLearning:
In advance, immerse yourself into the theory of diving through the convenient e-learning materials.
- Kick-off:
Meet us at our dive center at the booked time. There we will give you the theoretical basis of diving, find the suitable equipment for you and head next door to train in the large swimming pool. On the second day of the course, we will transfer to the port and head out to sea with our new RIB boat to let you experience your open water dives in the clear blue ocean of the Algarve. The best dive spots for you, will be chosen on the day itself, depending on the weather and water conditions.

Requirements
- Minimum age: 10 years old (note that ages between 10-14 receive the Junior Open Water Diver, which will automatically convert into the adult Open Water Diver)
- Swimming ability
- Physical health
- If you wear prescription glasses, you need to be comfortable wearing contact lenses
- A medical form must be filled in

- After diving, you have to leave a minimum time frame of 24 hours between your flight
