With our round-trip ferry to the island of Houat from Quiberon, you can look forward to a day out on a wild island full of character. After boarding at Port-Maria, make yourself comfortable as the ferry pulls out of the harbour against the current, at the foot of the famous Château Turpault. After a 40-minute crossing, you will reach Port-Saint-Gildas, where you will be greeted by colourful fishing boats: a sight not to be missed!
No cars are allowed here: explore this haven of peace slowly on foot or by bike, between granite cliffs and secret coves! You will need the whole day to tour the island, which is 3 km long and 1.5 km wide. Don't forget to bring a picnic to make the most of the island. If you are feeling adventurous, you might want to take a dip in the clear but cool waters of Treac'h er Goured (Gouret Beach). Before setting sail back to Quiberon, take a last look around the village of Houat, with its hollyhocks and fish traps lining the way to the harbour.
