Take part in our boat trip in the heart of the Calanques and discover the secrets of these fabulous creeks. Departing from the Vieux-Port of Marseille, you will embark on a journey of about 3 hours, in the middle of nature. After crossing the harbour of Marseille, we will pass in front of the magnificent Cap Croisette and arrive at the first Calanque of the National Park: the Callelongue Calanque. Small huts overlooking the port make this cove unique. Then we will see the wild calanques of Marseilleveyre and La Mounine before entering the Riou archipelago, a protected nature reserve home to many seabirds. Our next visit will be to the famous Sormiou. Continuing northwards, we will approach the calanque de la Triperie, home to the Cosquer cave, before arriving at Morgiou. This pearl of the Phocaean city is home to a small traditional fishing port. The next creeks are Sugiton, where you can observe the rocky islet called le Torpilleur, and the Eye of Glass, atypical because of its brown spot in the middle of the cliff. We will also discover the calanque of Devenson and the sublime Eissadon peaks. Between the cliffs of Belvedere, the calanque of Oule offers a grandiose landscape to all its visitors. We will then head towards the calanque of Port-Pin, which is, without doubt, the greenest of all the coves! A little further on, we will visit the calanque of Port-Miou, known for its marina and its natural riches. Finally, we will arrive in the bay of Cassis, where you will be surrounded by the highest cliffs in Europe, as well as the magnificent Château de Cassis. On the way back to the Old Port of Marseille, you will have the opportunity to see all the calanques one by one. Highlights - Discovery of the 12 calanques of the Calanques National Park - Audio commentary in French and explanatory booklet in over 8 languages - Observation of the Mediterranean fauna and flora Departure & Return We meet 20 minutes before the booked time, at the Vieux-Port of Marseille, opposite the Vieux-Port pharmacy. Embark on our eco-friendly boat with our boat trip in the Calanques of Marseille! Departing from the Quai d'Honneur, we will take you directly to the middle of the Calanques National Park. During the whole cruise, our captain will share with you all his knowledge about the iconic places of Marseille and the history of the city! We will also explain why it is necessary to preserve this fragile natural heritage. Once we reached the small passage between Maïre Island and the Croisette Cap, we will be in the Calanques National Park. The word "calanques" describes a valley carved by a river before reaching the sea. This phenomenon makes the coastline unique. We will make a first stop for a swim, during which you will be able to enjoy the crystal clear water of the Mediterranean Sea. We will have a 1.5-hour break to have an apéritif and lunch in the exceptional and wild setting of the calanques. Afterwards, the captain adapts the order and duration of the stops to the weather conditions. We will head for the Riou Archipelago, notably known for its biodiversity, with more than 200 species of birds. Then, we will visit in turn the calanques of Sormiou, Morigou and Sugiton. You will also have the opportunity to swim or snorkel for about half an hour in one of the calanques of your choice. On the way back to the Quai d'Honneur, you will again have the opportunity to admire a unique view of the coastline and its magnificent rock formations. Highlights - Boat designed with a sustainable approach with low carbon emissions - Visit to the Riou Archipelago & the Calanques of Sormiou, Morigou and Sugiton - Swimming & snorkeling stops - Local vegetarian lunch with organic and seasonal ingredients & rosé wine Departure & Return We meet 15 min before the booked time at the Quai d'Honneur Marina in front of the City Hall of Marseille. Paid parking is available nearby but we recommend that you reach the port on foot or by tram. At the end of our outing, we will disembark at the starting point. Characteristics of the boat - Number of passengers: 12 - Sun-protected area - Restrooms Included services - Cold drinks - Lunch with mixed salads, raw vegetables, seasonal fruits & 2 glasses of rosé - Snorkeling equipment
