He took us out to Balos and Gramvoussa in the late afternoon on a small motor boat. The conditions were windy and really choppy waves. It was a wild ride and a bit nervy but Yannis reassured us it was okay and once were out of open water and heading in towards Gramvoussa, it was much calmer. Yannis was great! He let us decide how much time we wanted to spend at each island. We chose Gramvoussa and got there right as all of the larger tour boats were leaving. "Short, one-hour trip on a glass-bottom boat to a small island near Chania. It is possible to go swimming in the sea for about 30 minutes from the boat.
For those who don't want to swim, food is used to attract fish. Unfortunately the "color splendor" left a lot to be desired, although the team tried to show us something else (in our case a small octopus).
