"We had a great experience on this tour! A suggestive tour in the blue caves and then a swim in Antipaxos, possible by descending the ladders or taking a dip. We would need more organization at this juncture, perhaps designating a ladder for the descent and one for the ascent, since there were so many of us and some people did not have much civic sense. The boat then took us to Gaios where we were free to explore around or take a swim. The icing on the cake was the DJ set on our sister boat which animated the passengers on the return journey, it was really fun! I highly recommend having the lunch meal on the boat, maybe to avoid wasting too much time in Gaios, but also because it is really delicious !!!! Recommended the souvlaki dish with tzatziki sauce and salad. Exquisite !! Staff a little 'sulky, but summarily polite and professional."
Explore the stunning Bay of Kissamos with this boat trip to Balos and Gramvousa that will take you to the best spots of Crete. We depart from the port of Kissamos and sail for one hour, passing through cliffs and secluded beaches that meet the Mediterranean Sea. You will be amazed by the clear turquoise waters and breathtaking scenery that surrounds Crete. We will also pass a large cave thought to be an ancient shipyard. At this point, we will sail to the islet of Agria Gramvousa and Cape Vouxa, where we will anchor for 1.5 hours. Known as the island of pirates, Gramvousa is an unpopulated island with rocky cliffs, azure waters and a beautiful natural landscape. Once there, you can go hiking to the highest point of the island and see the famous castle of Gramvousa built by Venetians in 1579. You can also opt for a relaxing swim next to Agoio Apostoloi Chapel and even visit an abandoned shipwreck that lies just next to the coastline. At lunchtime, you can eat in our self-service restaurant or bring your own food. Keep in mind there are no shops at either of our stops. Our second stop will be at Balos Lagoon for 2.5 hours. This exotic beach-lagoon is listed as one of the best beaches in the world and included in the European initiative Natura 2000. Here you can go swimming or snorkeling in the shallow and turquoise blue waters. You can also lay in the white sand beach while you sunbathe next to the rocks and cliffs that rise above the island. At the end of the trip, we will head back to the port of Kissamos. Highlights - Visit to the Gramvousa Island and Balos Lagoon - Swimming & snorkeling - Spacious and comfortable boat - Traditional Cretan lunch by the sea (to be purchased) Departure & Return We will meet at Kissamos port 40 minutes before departure time. You can either get here by car and park for free outside the port, or take a bus from Chania. Once the trip is over, we will return to the same port to disembark. "We took the boat trip to Shipwreck beach and the blue caves with Best of Zante Boats on 10 Oct 2022. Our tour driver Mr. Iraklis - who fetched us from our hotel Domes Aulus Zante to and from the northern port - was really friendly and introduced us to various sights of Zakynthos along the way. He navigated the winding roads of Zakynthos skilfully but safely. On the way back from Xigia Beach where we had lunch and a dip in the natural sulphur seawater, he also went out of his way to detour to the top of the hill where we could take in a great city view of Zakynthos.
The blue caves tour conducted by the boat captain, George, was fantastic. As George said right at the beginning of the tour, he is indeed the "best boat captain". He is certainly very experienced in steering into and out of the blue caves and offered amazing photo opportunities for everyone on the boat. He not only took photos for virtually all of us but also entertained us with his stories and jokes. He even provided every lady on the boat with the opportunity to steer the boat as a "captain" and took photos for them as they steer the boat.
The tour was indeed value for money and fun - one that I would strongly recommend."
"The trip was amazing, the tour at the national park of Butrint with a great tour guide. Sarandon Barbour town really nice as well. Really nice for the price value. The only thing that was a bit of disappointment was the lunch. The fish was not that well cooked. Other than that really great trip, very recommend."
"Super cool boat and nice stops. A very relaxed day! However, we were with 4 children, except for the theme, it is not aimed at children. Music is very loud for them."
"It was an unforgettable experience. Beautiful landscapes, turquoise water, weather, good lunch on board, nice excursion I would repeat again and again."
