Learn to ski in Seefeld
Seefeld in Tirol is an idyllic little village in Tyrol, Austria. It is also known as “Olympiaregion Seefeld”, Olympic region Seefeld, as it was the place where the Innsbruck Winter Olympics 1964 and 1976 and the Nordic World Ski Championships 1985 took place. At only half an hour away from Innsbruck and 2h away from Munich and Bolzano, Seefeld is a very popular destination for all ski fans. There, you have direct access to the slopes on three different mountains: Seefelder Joch (2064m), Härmelekopf (2045m) and Gschwandtkopf (1500m).
The ski schools in Seefeld offer a large number of beginners lessons. Usually, the meeting place for these lessons is at the ski school office right next to the valley station of the Gschwandtkopf lift. First-time skiers will practice on the blue slopes of the Gschwandtkopf whereas more advanced skiers will ski on the Härmelekopf where the majority of the slopes are red ones. Experienced skiers will have the opportunity to ski on the more challenging slopes on the Seefelder Joch.
Children are of course also welcome at the ski schools in Seefeld. They can take lessons if they are over 3 years old. The goal of these lessons is to learn how to slow down and be able to make turns. The kids will even have a very exciting surprise: the school’s kids’ train will take them directly to the training area, near the valley station of the Gschwandtkopf lift.
