Ski Lessons "Maxi" (5-14 years) - All Levels

38Customer recommendations
"First time in Austria so we decided to brush up on some of our weak points. We had a two hour private lesson with Asy and thoroughly enjoyed it. He is an excellent ski instructor who first off asked what we wished to achieve, assessed our skiing level, then tailored the lesson accordingly. He had us doing technical exercises which made the lesson even more fun. Would highly recommend."

Ski Instructor Private for Adults - All Levels

1Customer recommendation
"We had a really good private cross-ski lesson today with Peter as instructor. This was our first time in Garmisch and he offer to pick us up and started the lessons with few practical things. Peter is very professional and good teacher and he used microphone system to talk to us and give advise during the time we spent with him. Brilliant tool to use in teaching. He was also really helpful to assist us to find ski lessons for our family members when he was fully booked himself. We would definitely recommend Peter if you are looking for excellent ski instructor. Linda and Erla"

Ski Schools in Seefeld

Learn to ski in Seefeld

Seefeld in Tirol is an idyllic little village in Tyrol, Austria. It is also known as “Olympiaregion Seefeld”, Olympic region Seefeld, as it was the place where the Innsbruck Winter Olympics 1964 and 1976 and the Nordic World Ski Championships 1985 took place. At only half an hour away from Innsbruck and 2h away from Munich and Bolzano, Seefeld is a very popular destination for all ski fans. There, you have direct access to the slopes on three different mountains: Seefelder Joch (2064m), Härmelekopf (2045m) and Gschwandtkopf (1500m).

The ski schools in Seefeld offer a large number of beginners lessons. Usually, the meeting place for these lessons is at the ski school office right next to the valley station of the Gschwandtkopf lift. First-time skiers will practice on the blue slopes of the Gschwandtkopf whereas more advanced skiers will ski on the Härmelekopf where the majority of the slopes are red ones. Experienced skiers will have the opportunity to ski on the more challenging slopes on the Seefelder Joch.

Children are of course also welcome at the ski schools in Seefeld. They can take lessons if they are over 3 years old. The goal of these lessons is to learn how to slow down and be able to make turns. The kids will even have a very exciting surprise: the school’s kids’ train will take them directly to the training area, near the valley station of the Gschwandtkopf lift.

Next to the menu item "Experience level" you will find a description of the individual experience levels. If you're still not sure, you don't need to worry. At what age can children ski or snowboard?

There is no fixed age limit here. Supported by specially trained children's ski instructors, children can already learn to ski playfully at kindergarten age. Depending on the children's level of motoric and social development, the ideal starting age is between 4 and 5 years. Occasionally there are children who can already learn to ski at the age of 3 1/2 years.

How many days should the lessons last for our children?

During the holiday weeks, children's ski courses for beginners usually start on Sunday or Monday. The program is designed in such a way that the best learning results are achieved when your children take part in the ski course throughout the week. So they don't miss the final event (race, etc.) and experience a great week with their group. For advanced children the learning success usually kicks in on the third day.

Is it better to put our child in a group lesson or a private tuition?

The group lessons are generally recommended for beginners. Learning together with peers is more fun. The children are not constantly in the focus and have the possibility to catch their breath between the individual exercises, while the other children are on it. In order not to underchallenge highly talented children, a private ski instructor is recommended.

Can we join our child with a private instructor?

Yes, that's possible. Some providers even offer special family offers. Otherwise, you can simply book a private instructor for children or adults and inform the ski school after booking that you would like to go together.
