Learn to ski in Les Deux Alpes
Only an hour’s drive from Grenoble and 2.5hrs from Lyon, the resort of Les Deux Alpes is situated at 1,650m in the French Isère department at the point where the Northern and Southern Alps meet. Les Deux Alpes lies within the Massif des Écrins mountain range and is home to the Mantal glacier, also known as the Mont-de-Lans glacier.
The Mantal glacier has an altitude of over 3000m, which makes summer skiing possible. What’s more, even snow fans with only little experience can ski on the glacier, as blue slopes lead from the very top all the way down to the valley.
In Les Deux Alpes, the main slopes are found on the Jandri (3288m), the Tête du Diable (2868m) and the Tête Moute (2813m) mountains.
