What to expect
All children from 6 to 16 years old are invited to our ski lessons for children on the beautiful slopes of Verbier. The group is composed of a maximum of 6 skiers of the same level and age. For the full-day option, young skiers can enjoy two sessions of skiing, one in the morning and another one in the afternoon. Your little ones will progress quickly and in a good mood in the company of their friends.
The main objectives of the state-qualified instructor are to help your children progress at their own pace and with an adapted teaching method. After a few days of lessons, in snowplough for beginners, in parallel skiing for intermediate skiers, or on carving turns for advanced skiers, you will see a big improvement in your children's level. They will definitely want to come back for the next winter sports holiday!

We had group lessons for our two boys over 5 afternoons. Their instructors were Magnus and Griff. Both were absolutely excellent with the boys and both boys reported having a fantastic time in their lessons. They left Verbier much more confident skiers. Thank you and highly recommended.

I have enrolled my son in 3 different ski schools and Altitude is by far the best !
They are accommodating to schedules , fabulous and kind to my 5 year old son and take care that the students learn and enjoy with attention to each child. Teacher knew his name and what he liked and disliked after first day. Other schools instructors are very impersonal or smile but don’t seem to care. Altitude cares !

What should I wear for my lessons?
You should wear warm clothing suitable for winter sports. Other accessories such as gloves, a ski mask and sunglasses are strongly recommended.
When should I collect my equipment?
You must arrive at the first lesson with your equipment (skis and poles or snowboard, and boots). If you do not have your own equipment, make sure to allow enough time to collect it from the rental shop so as not to delay the start of the lesson. Some shops even offer the option of collecting equipment the day before your first day of hire.
Do I need to wear a helmet?
Wearing a helmet is compulsory for children in some countries, but it is strongly recommended for everyone, regardless of age.
Where can I buy a ski pass?
