Details
The most effective way to learn to snowboard is without a doubt with private snowboarding lessons, which are great for both kids and adults of all levels. Experience the Grindelwald and Wengen area from a new perspective as you slide down the slopes on your board. Fresh snow awaits!
Whether you are a first-timer or professional, one of our private instructors adjust the lessons to your needs. You decide what your personal goals are, we help you reach them! Each instructor is qualified, experienced and first aid trained to ensure your safety. Beginners start with learning the right stance and sideslip, whereas advanced boarders conquer more challenging slopes or even shred through powder snow. Video analysis is included to give you that extra boost during your learning process.
Meeting Point
We meet at the train station "Kleine Scheidegg". This can be reached by the "Wengernalpbahn" from either Grindelwald or Wengen.
Ski pass
All snowboarders need a ski pass for the first day of the lessons. You can buy your ski pass at the ski lift ticket office or online before the first lesson.
Important Booking Information
During the high season from 11 to 24 February 2025, private morning courses must be booked for at least five consecutive days.
Firstly, customer service at both checkyeti and Altitude Ski & Snowboard School was FANTASTIC. The communication and follow-up made booking really easy, instructions were also crystal clear. Pick-up for our rental equipment at Buri Sport was also a breeze.
Jon met us at Kleine Scheidegg early and we went right into it. He provided a lot of useful tips for me as a first-timer and also to my partner as a beginner. Honestly, learned more in these 5 hours then we did trying to learn it by ourselves without an instructor. He was also very easy to chat with, friendly and most importantly, patient. He was very encouraging, and made snowboarding look like a walk in the park (although it isn't!).

Valters was very professional, and explained everything exactly as I needed to hear it. He would also demonstrate everything before having me do anything. Valters would also tell you minor corrections as you are parforming the movement, and afterwards he would explain exactly what you may have done wrong, and what you can fix, as well as what you did correctly. Highly recommend Valter!
