The visit to the Blue Grotto is subject to sea and weather conditions. If the grotto is closed or the queue is longer than 30 minutes, the visit will be skipped. The entrance requires transferring to a smaller boat and crouching low. The waiting time can be up to 1.5 hours, but the tour boat will only wait for a maximum of 30 minutes. A tip for the Blue Grotto staff is customary but not mandatory.
Disembarking at Marina Piccola can be difficult for people with limited mobility. Assistance from a companion is recommended. From Marina Piccola, stairs lead up to the center of Capri, where taxis and buses are available.
