Discovery Rafting on the Verdon River from Castellane

Rafting is the best way to discover the Verdon River! Starting from Castellane, you embark for an 8 km rafting descent, particularly suitable for families, but accessible to all. No previous experience is needed: board your raft and trust your experienced instructor to help you handle the boat and face the rapids. Fun guaranteed! The river also offers quieter sections which will allow you to admire the gorges and turquoise waters of the Verdon.

Tour programme
- Preparation:
We meet at the car park of the Castellane swimming pool 30 min before the chosen time. You will recognize us by our blue trailer. You will meet your instructor who will give you your equipment and explain to you how to handle the paddle as well as brief you on the safety instructions. You can leave your belongings in your vehicle and your keys in our car. Once everyone is ready, we will head to the nearby river and you will board your raft, which holds up to 8 people.
- Tour:
The descent begins in Castellane, with a breathtaking view of the town and its ramparts. Then it's off for 1.5 h of descent, alternating fast and quieter sections. You will be able to admire the magnificent landscapes of the gorges but also feel the thrills of white water. You will even be able to get off the raft and jump into the river from the rocks... but only if you feel like it!
- Return:
Once the descent is over, our shuttle will take you back to the car park where you will find your vehicle.
