For nature and great outdoors lovers: this river trekking is for you! Fun, aquatic and refreshing, the exploration of the Couloir Samson will not leave you indifferent. This is a wonderful opportunity to discover this area, which is usually not accessible by boat. We will progress along the gorges by swimming and floating. You will have several occasions to jump, but none are mandatory.
Not only is the descent very fun, but you will also enjoy unique and sensational views!
Tour programme- Preparation:
We welcome you to our store at the scheduled time (free parking available in Castellane) and then take you to our base a few metres away by foot. There, you will meet your guide, receive your equipment and leave your belongings safely.
- Tour:
A shuttle will then drop you off at the activity site (20 min). After a 10-minute walk to the river, you can jump into the water. No abseiling passages for this activity as we swim and float in the riverbed. Several jumps are offered but none are mandatory.
- Return:
Finally, we will retrace our steps with a 20-minute walk through two small tunnels. At the end of our adventure, a shuttle awaits us to take us back to Castellane.

It was an incredible experience that allowed us to discover the Verdon Gorge from the best possible perspective. The guide was amazing, and we navigated rapids, narrow passages between rocks, and even went underwater, feeling completely safe the entire time. She also gave us fascinating explanations about the formation of the Samson Corridor. We truly enjoyed every moment of the experience.
