Canoe-Raft on the Verdon River in Castellane - Discovery

Come and tackle the waters of the Verdon with your canoe-raft! This activity, a mix between rafting and canoeing, will offer you lots of thrills on the rapids. Together with a partner on this stable and unsinkable boat, you will be in complete safety with a state-qualified instructor going down the river alongside you and giving you advice on how to cross the famous rapids of the St Jean Bar and the Seuil de Chasteuil. In the midst of the turquoise waters of the river and its high cliffs, an unforgettable moment awaits you and your family or friends!

Tour programme
- Preparation:
We meet at the car park of the Castellane swimming pool 30 min before the chosen time. You will recognize us by our blue trailer. You will meet your instructor who will give you your equipment and explain to you how to handle the paddle as well as brief you on the safety instructions. You will be able to leave your belongings in your vehicle and your keys in our car. Once everyone is ready, we will head to the nearby river and you will board your canoe.
- Tour:
The descent begins in Castellane, with a breathtaking view of the town and its ramparts. Then it's off for 1.5 h of descent, alternating faster and quieter sections. You will be able to admire the magnificent landscapes of the gorges but also feel the thrills of white water. You will cross class-III rapids, the famous St Jean bar and the Seuil de Chasteuil.
- Return:
Once the descent is over, our shuttle will take you back to the car park where you will find your vehicle.
