29km E-Moutain Bike and Kayak & Canoe Hire

Discover the Lozère and Aveyron regions in a sporty way with our 29 km e-moutain bike and kayak & canoe hire on the Tarn from Mostuéjouls. The tour will be split in two, starting with a 2.5-hour ride on an e-mountain bike over 15 km, which will allow you to admire the wonderful landscapes of the Tarn Gorges, a classified natural site. Then in the afternoon, a 14 km canoeing trip on the magnificent Tarn river will wait for you. Enjoy this preserved environment while having fun both on land with our e-moutain bike, and on water with our kayak & canoe !

Tour programme
- Preparation:
The meeting point is at our base in Mostuéjouls (in April and May, we meet at the B&B Le Soleilo, in the centre of the village). We will provide you with the e-mountain bike and adjust them to your height. We will also need you to download the route on your smartphone and try on the canoe waistcoat. You will be provided with a waterproof container to store your personal belongings, so you will only need to carry your phone, water and a snack for the e-mountain bike ride. At the end of your cycling trip until Les Vignes at around 12.30 pm, we will collect the bikes and give you the waterproof container as well as your canoe and all the necessary equipment for the second part of the trip on the Tarn.
- Tour:
You will ride from Mostuéjouls to les Vignes on an e-mountain bike. It is important to note that the bike is electrically assisted, but real physical effort will be required. You will cross the Regional Natural Park of the Grands Causses and, thanks to the lock provided, you will be able to make several stops to enjoy the breathtaking view over the Tarn. At around 12.30 pm, after a 2.30pm ride, you will arrive at Les Vignes where our team will be waiting to give you your waterproof container and the necessary equipment for the canoe. The 14 km descent to Mostuéjouls then begins ! You will have the chance to navigate through the famous Pas de Soucy, one of the most amazing sites in the Tarn Gorges. You will also pass through numerous rapids, including the one at the hamlet of La Sablière. Finally, to end your trip, you will pass under the Pont Cassé du Rozier, located not far from our base. Throughout the adventure, you can stop on one of the river's beaches for a swim or a picnic in a wild setting. You will be able to paddle at your own pace and stop wherever you want, as you have the possibility to keep the canoe until 6 pm.
- Return:
At the end of your trip, you will return to the base, where your vehicle will be waiting for you.
