We welcome all first timers, who have not stood on skis for more than 2 days, to our adult ski lessons in Bad Gastein - Sportgastein. In a small group of 4 to 8 like-minded people, we offer you the opportunity to learn the basics of winter sports with professional assistance.
Our beginner area, the Family Park GO!, is located in the middle of the ski area and offers you the perfect place to take your first skiing attempts in peace and quiet. Under the guidance of your qualified ski instructor, you will practice braking and turning in the snow plough and do coordination exercises before heading out onto the first blue slopes. In order for you to feel safe and well-prepared in all situations, we will also teach you the FIS slope rules.
A varied weekly program provides new challenges every day: among other things we do some synchronization and partner exercises, a photo shoot and race training. On Thursday, you can compete against the others in the ski race and show what you have learned in the course.

Ski pass
All skiers need a ski pass from the first day of the lessons. You can buy your ski pass at the ski lift ticket office or online before the first lesson. Please note that you also need a ski pass for the ski bus.

The staff were all very friendly. Though I thought the resort we went to at Bad Gastein was a bit tricky for for first timers with some quite steep sections on the blue runs our instructor Olle was excellent. He had good English. By the end of the week with quite a breadth of skill in our family with some advancing quicker than others he was patient and spent time coaching us giving good advice across all skill levels. If someone was slower to pick up the technique other instructors would add additional help and advice. I would use again. Thanks Olle!

A lovely group of friendly staff. I went as a beginner over 5 mornings and was feeling much more confident by the end to do pistes alone/out of lesson. My instructor was called Leo, was patient and helpful towards everyone in the group, would recommend to anyone going into ski school 😊
