We had 4 half days with Jack. In short: 3XSuper!!! Super kind! Super professional! Super energetic! In detail: 50plus ex-surfer with some snowboarding experience and 12yrs son, an absolute beginner. Jack managed to focus on both of us, to erase my bad surfing habits and teach my son from scratch. Within 4x3hours, in 4 great and fun days, although snowy, we managed to snowboard down to town via 'wall of death' and to take a black run! Many thanks!
private lessons allow for much more growth in a short time solely focusing on what your doing wrong and how to change and that helps a lot more
It was amazing! Thank you very much andreas. Great first lesson on snowboard. We enjoyed a lot
You should wear warm clothing suitable for winter sports. Other accessories such as gloves, a ski mask and sunglasses are strongly recommended.
You must arrive at the first lesson with your equipment (skis and poles or snowboard, and boots). If you do not have your own equipment, make sure to allow enough time to collect it from the rental shop so as not to delay the start of the lesson. Some shops even offer the option of collecting equipment the day before your first day of hire.
Wearing a helmet is compulsory for children in some countries, but it is strongly recommended for everyone, regardless of age.
Unless otherwise stated, you must have your ski pass with you for the first lesson. You can usually buy one at the ski lift office or online. Discounted rates may be available for children or beginners, so check with your ski school to find out which pass is most suitable.
Generally, it is advisable to book lessons as early as possible. This is especially important during school holidays, such as Christmas and February, when lessons can fill up quickly.
The private lessons are for adults and children of all levels. The instructor will tailor the lesson to you, whether you're a complete beginner or an experienced snowboarder looking to improve your technique.
You can take the lesson by yourself for maximum personal attention, or you can share the experience with up to three other friends or family members.
The standard meeting point is at the top of the Sunnega Funicular railway lift station, by the large piste map. A different meeting point, for example at your accommodation, can also be arranged after booking. Please note that from 1st May the meeting point is at the Matterhorn Express or Trockensteg lift station.
With the VIP service, you get to know your instructor the day before and plan your snowboarding day together. You decide when and how much you would like to snowboard and where you would like to stop for lunch.
