You should wear warm clothing suitable for winter sports. Other accessories such as gloves, a ski mask and sunglasses are strongly recommended.
You must arrive at the first lesson with your equipment (skis and poles or snowboard, and boots). If you do not have your own equipment, make sure to allow enough time to collect it from the rental shop so as not to delay the start of the lesson. Some shops even offer the option of collecting equipment the day before your first day of hire.
Wearing a helmet is compulsory for children in some countries, but it is strongly recommended for everyone, regardless of age.
Unless otherwise stated, you must have your ski pass with you for the first lesson. You can usually buy one at the ski lift office or online. Discounted rates may be available for children or beginners, so check with your ski school to find out which pass is most suitable.
Generally, it is advisable to book lessons as early as possible. This is especially important during school holidays, such as Christmas and February, when lessons can fill up quickly.
The private lessons are suitable for kids and teens of all levels. The instructor adapts the program to the child's ability, from beginners learning to ski in plough to advanced skiers practising parallel skiing on red slopes.
The main goal is to build your child's confidence on the slopes. Beginners will start with ploughing and schussing, while advanced skiers will work on skiing parallel on red slopes.
The exact meeting time and place in your chosen area (Zürs, St. Anton, Lech - Oberlech or St. Christoph) will be arranged individually after booking.
Your child will have a private, qualified and experienced skiing instructor who knows the ski region very well.
