Scuba Ranger Course on Elba for Kids (8-10 y.)

The SSI Scuba Rangers program is one of the best developed diving programs for children in the world. If your children are between 8 and 10 years old and love to observe fish in their natural habitat, our SSI Scuba Ranger course will be a great experience for them! With this 4-day course, children will be able to experience the feeling of breathing underwater for the first time and learn the skills needed to become a knowledgeable scuba diver in the future. Our certified instructor is trained to teach in a fun and engaging way, so that kids' first approach to the world of diving is positive and enjoyable.

Programme
We meet at our dive centre the day before the course starts. Children will be able to meet their instructor and try on the equipment. The practical part of the course consists of in the sea in a sheltered area or in the pool in case of bad weather. The dives are done in small groups (1 instructor for no more than 3 participants) in the afternoon from about 3.30pm to 6pm. The maximum depth to which children will dive is 4 meters. Our instructor will propose different exercises to help kids become familiar with the equipment, with the pressure underwater and with the language used by divers. Theoretical lessons will be short and engaging, and will cover the basics of this sport.

Requirements
- Age: from 8 to 10 years
- Medical certificate
- General health
- A parent must be present on the boat during each dive
- Anyone who wears prescription glasses should feel comfortable with contact lenses

Good to know
- It is forbidden to take the plane in the 24 hours after the dive
- It is possible to bring an extra person on the boat for a supplement of €15 (only if the boat is not full, to be paid on site).
