Come and explore the depths of the Island of Elba while you earn your certification with the SSI Scuba Diver Course! In these 3 days, you will learn the rules of scuba diving combining theory and practice, and will become confident of your skills. You will always be supervised by our certified instructor, who will dive with you to teach you the techniques and show you the wonders of the seabed. No experience is required to take part in this course, which can also be taken by children from 10 years of age. We will dive to the sea in confined and open water, up to a depth of 12 meters.
The SSI Open Water qualifies you to:
- Dive up to 12 metres in open water with an SSI Professional

Programme
- eLearning:
We will provide you with your MySSI account ID, which will allow you to access the digital theory kit. Before starting diving you will need to read the 3 chapters of the course.
- Kick-off:
We meet at our dive center the day before the course starts. We will provide you with the study material, and you can try out the equipment. We will also be able to agree on the days in which you will take the course, in case you do not wish to dive for three consecutive days. The practical part consists of 3 dives in confined waters, which we will do in a sheltered area or in the pool in case of bad weather, and 2 dives in open water. The dives are done in small groups (1 instructor for no more than 3 participants) in the afternoon from about 3.30 pm to 6 pm. Our certified instructor will make you do different exercises to familiarize yourself with the equipment, pressure and language used by divers.
