Our adventure begins with an invigorating hour-long drive from the city, leaving behind the hustle and bustle to find ourselves amidst the serene and untouched landscapes of Enontekiö. Here, under the darkest night sky in Europe, nature paints a celestial masterpiece—a perfect canvas for capturing the elusive Aurora Borealis.

Upon arrival in Sonkamuotka, our first stop is at Sanna's Arctic Knife store, where we are warmly welcomed by the Alatalo family. Over a delightful snack and a steaming hot drink, we are regaled with stories from three generations of local living, offering a genuine taste of Lapland's rich culture. This heartwarming encounter sets the tone for an unforgettable evening.

The journey continues to the tranquil banks of Sonkajarvi Lake, where a charming cabin awaits. Gather around the fire, feeling the crisp air and the anticipation of witnessing the stunning Northern Lights dance across the sky. As the night unfolds, let the mesmerizing spectacle of nature's light show leave you in awe—a memory to cherish forever.

How to Get There

• Meeting place: in front of tourist information in Levi

• Meeting time: 10 minutes before departure

• Pick up: If you wish to make use of our pickup service, please contact us after completing the booking. Please see attatched list for included pick-up locations. Other pick-up locations incur an extra charge of 25€/person

• Pick up service is not available from December 1 to January 6

• Please note that Northern Lights are a natural phenomenon and can be subject to weather, so their visibility cannot be guaranteed. If no sighting, you can join the tour in the following days, however we cannot guarantee repeated expedition if northern lights are not projected.
