We meet at the main bus car park at Jökulsárlón, 15 minutes before departure. If you come by car, you will find paid car parks nearby.

• Physical health

• Hiking experience is required

• Ability to walk on uneven and icy terrain for several hours

• It is necessary to wear warm, waterproof layers and sturdy hiking boots, even in summer

• The use of thermal clothing during the hike is highly recommended, this includes a thermal overall, boots, gloves, woolen socks, a balaclava, and a helmet
