What to Expect

Our afternoon taster lessons are the perfect introduction to snowboarding for beginners from 6 years old and up! Whether you are a child taking your first slides or an adult trying a board for the first time, you can get your initial taste of the slopes in a safe, fun, and welcoming environment. The Flachau ski resort in the Austrian Alps offers modern facilities, dedicated learning areas, and all the gear you need for a smooth introduction. Our friendly, professional instructors specialize in making the learning process straightforward, enjoyable, and effective for all ages.

These lessons are a great mix of practical learning and fun. You will get comfortable with your snowboard and boots. You will be introduced to the fundamental movements and take your very first slides on the board. The focus is on helping you master your first controlled turns on gentle slopes—a crucial step for building confidence and control. With a small group size of up to 12 people, you are guaranteed to get ample individual attention and personalized feedback, ensuring a supportive and engaging experience.

The goal is to open the door to the world of mountain sports for you, instilling a sense of achievement and the pure joy of the sport. By the end of the lesson, you will have gained a new sense of adventure and excitement, eager to explore more of what the mountain has to offer. Flachau's well-maintained slopes and the picturesque Alpine setting provide the perfect backdrop for your snowboarding journey.

Meeting Time

We meet at the practice area below the Starjet 1 valley station, by the container with the ski school name, 45 minutes before the start of the lesson.

Ski Pass

A ski pass is not required for the taster course

• Experience is not required

• For the Christmas holidays & school holidays in February, we recommend you book early in advance due to high demand

• Please note that the course only takes place with a minimum of 4 participants

• The maximum group size is 12 participants per group

• All lessons are available in German and English. Upon request, more languages are available.
