We meet at "Sporthaus Gloria" (Römerstraße 50, 5562 Obertauern)
If you are looking for an adventure off the groomed slopes, our private off-piste skiing tours in Obertauern are the right choice for you. They will help you to safely draw your tracks in the powder snow while ensuring you are in the best hands, regardless of your current freeriding experience. The enchanting alpine setting of Obertauern, with its legendary deep snow, is ideal for an unforgettable off-piste experience. Whether you are new to freeriding or looking to refine your technique, our experienced experts know the Obertauern area like the back of their hand and will provide guiding tailored to your specific needs.
The tour begins with an in-depth discussion of your current skills and goals, followed by a detailed safety briefing. For the day, we provide you with high-quality safety equipment—a freeride backpack with shovel, probe, and avalanche transceiver—and are happy to teach you how to use it effectively. This foundational approach ensures you feel confident and secure before venturing into the powder. As the tour progresses, you will engage in runs and drills perfectly suited to your skill level, focusing on techniques crucial for off-piste, such as adapting your stance and speed to varied snow conditions.
You have the flexibility to choose between individual guiding or a small group with up to 6 family members or friends, provided all participants have a similar off-piste or skiing level. This allows you to arrange your skiing holiday in Obertauern flexibly and individually. The tour lasts approximately 4 hours with a 1-hour break in between, giving you ample time to explore the best powder runs. By the end of the session, you will have a better understanding of advanced skiing techniques and will be ready to tackle challenging off-piste terrain with enhanced confidence.
We meet at "Sporthaus Gloria", 10 minutes before the start of the lesson.
