The best way to approach it and get started is to take one of our private snowboarding lessons in Grand Bornand to benefit from personalized advice and the full attention of specialized instructors. I had a fantastic teacher Jo-Jo. He really listened to me to start with, which I needed as I’m a beginner/intermediate. He was great at explaining technique and took me on appropriate slopes. I feel I really lucked out with him. He was friendly, professional & so easy to get on with. What he doesn’t know about snowboarding isn’t worth knowing! I’ve had 3 x 2hour lessons with him & feel I have really improved. Thank you so much. Pure quality instruction.
The meeting point is also really clearly marked which was great as I was a solo traveller. Plus they wear a uniform which also helps. Really close to the lifts & a couple of lovely restaurants too.
I can’t recommend oxyski & Jo Jo highly enough.

What should I wear for my lessons?
You should wear warm clothing suitable for winter sports. Other accessories such as gloves, a ski mask and sunglasses are strongly recommended.
